I just completed my registration for Healinx. It took about 4 days. They have to verify your medical license number, etc. It is a website for patients and physicians to converse online in a secure manner. I like the idea. It is safer than e-mail. Many docs are starting to use email to converse with patients, but few follow the guidelines that AMIA published last year. Healix provides storage and retreival of messages that is password protected. Medication lists & patient histories too. It is a well designed service, but I find it a bit cumbersome. I'm not sure that docs or patients are going to embrace this yet. I'll try it with a few. I'll let you know.
