Unnecessary Tonsillectomies
From some of the more conservative ENT researchers in the country comes this rather well-balanced view of surgical intervention for recurrent throat infections. In our community . I know which otolaryngologists are more likely to suggest (and perform) tonsillectomy .. and which will provide more conservative care. This study lends more weight to the conservative approaches .. and makes the more agreesive surgeons look a bit too .. um .. agressive.
